Climb the top 200m cliffs of a 2,000m high mountain like a pro, without any previous experience. This is what the Via Ferrata is all about.
In just one day, you’ll hike the famous Balcony Walk, visit the abandoned mountain village of Sab Bani Khamis, rest by a hidden lake, and tackle the Via Ferrata — all guided by a certified local adventure expert.
Our guide is not only trained and experienced, but also welcoming and culturally connected, offering stories, insight, and a warm introduction to mountain life.
After the trek, enjoy a simple and authentic home-cooked lunch served by a local Omani family under the palm leaves.

After having a breakfast in the hotel, you will meet the Omani Guide at 8:00 a.m.
Begin your journey from Muscat towards the majestic Hajar Mountains. Enjoy the scenic drive as you head west.
The drive usually takes around 3 hours towards Jebel Shams.
Stop at Al Hamra
:
A short break in the historic town of Al Hamra to grab snacks or essentials before we ascend into the mountains.
We will have short stop to sea the old Parsian Village in the entrance of Jebel Shams

:
Take in stunning panoramic views of Oman’s “Grand Canyon” and the legendary Balcony Walk trail.
Arrival at Village Trail head
Park the vehicles at the starting village Khateem .
Receive a safety briefing and gear orientation by our certified guides. Helmets, harnesses, and Via Ferrata Kit will be provided.
Balcony Walk Trek:
Enjoy a 4 km guided trek along the edge of the canyon. This dramatic trail hugs the cliffside, offering jaw-dropping views and photo opportunities all along the route.
Via Ferrata Experience:
Upon reaching the cliff section we’ll transition to the Via Ferrata (iron path). Using safety cables and iron rungs anchored into the rock, you’ll climb and traverse with full protection under the guidance of our team.

End Point & Return
After completing the loop, we’ll begin the return journey to Muscat.
On the way we will stop at local restaurant to have lunch.
