The square was previously named Place d'Armes and Promenade Square. It was named Columbus Square in 1892. In 1993, it was named Derek Walcott Square after the Nobel laureate Derek Walcott.

Morne Fortune is a hill and residential area located south of Castries, Saint Lucia, in the West Indies. Originally known as Morne Dubuc, it was renamed Morne Fortuné in 1765 when the French moved their military headquarters and government administration buildings here from Vigie Height.

Cole's Monument stands in the grounds of the Forthill Park; a beautiful five & a half acre wooded park in Enniskillen. The monument was built in the centre of the park in memory of the late General the Hon. Sir G. Lowry Cole

Marigot Bay is located on the western coast of the Caribbean island country of Saint Lucia, 3.75 miles southwest from Castries and a short distance from the Saint Lucian National Marine Reserve. It is surrounded on three sides by steep, forested hills.

Anse La Raye or Anse-La-Raye is the largest town and seat of the Anse la Raye District of Saint Lucia. It is located on the island's western side, near Marigot Bay, and has several examples of French and English colonial architecture

Anse Cochon beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 14th place out of 23 beaches in the Saint Lucia region 11.6 km away from its center, the city of Castries. It is one of the beaches of Ti Kaye Resort settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

Canaries is a populated place located on the West Coast of Saint Lucia in the Canaries Quarter. It is a small fishing village and it is nestled along the West Coast road, between the towns of Anse La Raye and Soufriere, and there are scenic views from both the Northern and Southern approaches.

The Mount Edmund Forest Reserve is located in the heart of the high uplands of the island, near the Enbas Saut Waterfalls trail. You can see but more often hear the Saint Lucia Parrot, as well as many other birds.
