Discover Spain’s emerging craft beer scene on this 3-hour craft-beer and tapas tour in Madrid. Enjoy a delicious variety of hand-crafted Spanish beers, made with the same passion applied to Spain’s world-famous wines. Your beer-loving guide will take you to four of the most popular taverns in the artsy downtown Malasaña quarter. Sip your suds while nibbling on the Spanish tapas each tavern is known for.
Calle Fuencarral and its late 18th century architecture is known today for its trendy and urban style shops, our meeting point is in front of the Decathlon sports store and our first craft-beer stop is 3 mins away.
Our second stop is near the plaza de San Ildefonso and its early 17th century church. This square is packed with terraces where locals enjoy a drink and chat even on weekdays. Our second craft-beer stop is 2 minutes away.
Dos de Mayo square is rich in history during the French occupation of the 19th century. The guide will show you how the locals of Madrid managed to enter the French ammunition depot and making it explode, leaving the French with gunpowder. After we will stroll around the quaint streets heading for our last craft-beer stop.
From Plaza Dos Mayo tour our third and last stop includes a picturesque walk through the heart of Malasaña neighborhood, contemplating where the locals live and shop. This picturesque and artsy neighborhood is comparable to New York’s Hell’s Kitchen in the 80’s, where a lot of alternative trends developed there.
Meet right in front of the Decathlon Sports Shop, the guide will have our Native Spanish Tapas Logo.
The guide will be holding a red umbrella in front of the Decathlon store, on Calle de Fuencarral, 45, Centro, 28004 Madrid: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4j7WKiHz8K5hNo2i9
