On this list of best beaches in Sri Lanka, a name sure to appear is Unawatuna Beach. Just an hour away from Sri Lanka’s capital city, Colombo, this beach is a heaven for beach bums. With fancy restaurants, bars, shacks, beach properties, shopping streets and fun activities worth engaging in that are carried out in the surrounding areas, Unawatuna beach is a great spot to unwind, ditching the routine.

The beach looks like a banana and has golden sand with sparkling water. Here, the lush palm trees not only make the beach look extra scenic but also contribute to keeping the environment pleasant on most days.

On a visit here, one is sure to see young kids belonging to locally residing families take a dip into the cool water of the sea. What a beautiful way for the locals to beat Sri Lanka’s heat, right? And that is not all!

At a distance of 3 km from Unawatuna Beach and 7 km from Galle Railway Station, the Jungle Beach is situated on the opposite end of the main Unawatuna Beach in Galle. It is one of the secluded beaches in Sri Lanka and among the top places to visit in Galle.

The beautiful and calm Jungle Beach is located between Unawatuna and Galle. The beach is secluded from the city which makes it a perfect place for those who want to sit and relax at the beach. There are sunbeds available for visitors to sit back and chill by the beach. The beach is not as easy to visit as compared to the other beaches of the city, but visitors can reach the beach either by walk or by boat.

Jungle Beach is perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling and scuba diving. One can easily rent some scuba diving gear from the nearby shops and also gain a tip or two about the activity. The vibe of the place transforms into a party at night.

Stop 4

In the Central Highlands, almost dead center in the little island of Sri Lanka lays Kandy City. The crown jewel of the city is the famed Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Tooth. ‘Maligawa’ literally translates to palace, and the temple is part of the palace complex. The entire complex is over three centuries old at least, and has seen many a king’s rise and fall. It has seen bloody wars and peaceful reigns and is one of the most historical places still standing in the island

5

"Kandy City Centre" Commercial and Shopping Complex at Dalada Veediya, Kandy is the most modern commercial complex in Sri Lanka. The Complex is designed with ultra modern features yet preserving the iconic Kandyan architecture. With respect to this unique entrepreneurial marvel, The Board of Investment has granted the prestigious "Flagship Status" to this Project.
