After meeting at the arranged point, we drive to Shamakhi, which is 90 minutes from Baku to Alpaca Azerbaijan Farm. Shamakhi is rich in mountain forests, springs, and meadows, located in a moderate humidity zone, ideal for alpacas. The farm, located in Meysari village 120 km from Baku, offers a scenic setting with mountains and green pastures. At the alpaca farm, guests will enjoy an entertaining and educational experience. The farm features a playground with various attractions. Upon arrival, a private guide provides a briefing on alpaca habits, safety on the farm and guests spend approximately 60 minutes feeding the animals.
The final stop in Shamakhi is Meysari Winery, 10 minutes from the alpaca farm. The winery is one of Azerbaijan’s newest and the first certified organic EU manufacturer. Covering 160 hectares, the winery uses high-quality equipment. Guests can explore a small winery museum, restaurant and hotel. At Abgora Restaurant, national cuisine is served alongside organic Meysari wines, with special masterclasses available. Guests enjoy a vineyard and winery tour with a premium wine tasting including six types of wine, olives, cheese, a meat platter, bread and water spending around 60 minutes with a private guide. The tour concludes with a return drive to Baku City Centre, approximately 90 minutes.
