Begin your day with a scenic drive from Wellington through the Hutt Valley following the Hutt River as it rambles along towards the Remutaka Hill climbing the Remutaka hill to reach the summit, 555 meters above sea level. Stop to view the Remutaka Crossing monument, commemorating the 60,000 New Zealand troops who made the crossing from the Featherston Military Camp to the Port of Wellington in World War One.

Upon Return to vehicle we will continue our way towards Martinborough, visit three wineries. Each visit lasts between 15 and 45 minutes, during which the cellar door staff will introduce a variety of their wines for you to sample at your discretion.
