Be prepared to explore the natural wonders of Bariloche from the water: At the appropriate time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and drive you on a 1-hour journey towards the coast of “Mascardi Lake”.
Mascardi Lake is located at the south of Nahuel Huapi National Park (entrance fee not included). This National Park was created to preserve local flora and fauna, including its Andean-Patagonian forests and some threatened or endangered animals. Prepare your camera to capture some native birds in this particular environment!
Once at the coast of Mascardi Lake, you will have an introduction to the basic technique of touring kayaking and safety equipment. Afterwards, the moment you were waiting for: Time to grab your oars and plunge in! From here, you’ll start a 3-hour 30-minutes high-difficulty kayaking from “Los Rápidos” to the end of the lake, through the deep blue lake waters, surrounded by magnificent views of Andes Mountain Range and lush forests. If you get lucky on a blue-sky day, you can also enjoy a wonderful Tronador Mount view! You will cover the entire length of the Tronador branch of Mascardi Lake (one way). Kayaking on this amazing Patagonian lake, in total harmony with nature, is a breathtaking experience. After some time of paddling, we’ll share a time to relax on a quiet beach by the lakeshore, where you’ll enjoy a box lunch. **Some birds you might see during the paddling: Big macá, white heron, austral bandurria, condors, among others.
At the end of the excursion, you’ll have a 2-hour transfer back to your hotel in Bariloche. **Transportation duration will depend on the location of your hotel.
