Explore the culture and heritage of Jewish presence in Marvao, Alentejo. This tour will trace the history of Jewish settlement and life in the region, examining the development of Jewish communities in the area and their contributions to the economy and society of Marvao.
Jews have lived in this region since the Roman Empire. Therefore we will visit the Museum and its Old Jewish Quarter area and the crossing points of the runaway Jews from Castile in 1492, known as the Toll Bridge.
