About this experience

We offer to immerse yourself in the search of the lost city of MEMEL (the historical name of the city up to the end of the WW2). With a help of a personal collection of photos from the XIX - XX century we will capture your imagination which will allow not only to understand the historical facts about the city but also will enable us to relate to the daily life of people who have lived here.
The tour is designed to be interactive with some short quiz questions and not overwhelm you with "dry" facts. By visiting iconic places we will try to capture an emotion of how it felt to live on a borderline in between the EAST and the WEST civilization.

OUR MEETING POINT- Look for a purple folder :)
A short introduction about the country Lithuania and the city will lead to more detailed explanation of why it was almost never part of the modern Lithuania. A view over the river will enable to identify the transformation that the city went through and how it looks in comparison to modern days.

A sculpture- city plan of the Klaipeda Old town from which allows us not only locate us for the rest of the tour but also forsee what went missing. A city plan will allow us to introduce the upcoming tour and locate in on the sculpture(city plan).
Before we will continue- a first quiz question will be raised...

A stop at a narrow streets of Klaipeda where we will find a sculpture "Tower" will allow us do recognize how the structure of the Old town differs from other cities in Lithuania.
The sculpture of Tower illuminates the daily life of Memel throughout the centuries. We will try to identify who were the real locals whilst leaving the tower through the street of messenger - BUT WHO NEEDS A MESSENGER...?
