Your safari begins at a designated entrance or meeting point in Pilanesberg. You’ll meet your guide a professional with deep knowledge of wildlife behaviour, ecology and animal tracking. Climb into an open or closed safari vehicle optimized for viewing wildlife roof-open vehicles give unobstructed views. Pilanesberg is home to Big Five — elephants, lions, rhino, buffalo, leopards and other wildlife. This phase is rich in sightings and photo-ops as your guide positions you for the best light and animal behaviour.
Stop for a relaxing lunch in a rest camp or scenic area within the park. After lunch, it’s back on the tracks for more wildlife viewing. Animals often become more active in the cooler parts of the day, so this second phase is perfect for predator sightings.
The adventure ends back at the starting point. If you’ve been picked up from a hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria, we hit the road on way back for another 2 hours 30 min where you will be dropped around latest 6 pm. For those that are staying in Pilanesberg or Sun City you’ll be dropped off at your Hotel or Lodge accordingly.
