A combination of the beauty of Prague and Christmas time for all those who want to enjoy the unrepeatable magic of the holidays. Prague offers many traditional markets, decorations and a wonderful atmosphere during Advent.
So let's visit together three traditional and new places with markets and stalls offering typical products and delicacies, and we will pass through the beautiful places of Prague during our trip.
The tour will start at Náměstí republiky, where there are two small markets located in the area of the square. We will take a walk through the markets and then see the main sights of the area, the Powder gate and Municipal house. After that we will continue to the city center.
Next stop is at the Old Town Square, where the city's largest and most famous marketplace is located, with the city's main Christmas tree.
After exploring the square, we will head on foot along the former Royal Route (the coronation route of Czech monarchs) and we will walk through the streets of the old town.
With its magnificent sculptural decoration, Charles Bridge is one of Prague's main attractions.
From the Charles Bridge, the path goes up the hill on which Prague Castle stands. We will walk through the streets of the Lesser Town, past the palaces of the Czech nobility to the Prague Castle.
The tour ends in the castle's third courtyard, by the choir of St. Vitus Cathedral. We will visit Prague Castle only from the outside (courtyards and exteriors) and see it´s Christmas decorations.
Meeting point is outside the metro station "Náměstí republiky" (yellow line B), in front of the building of Unicredit bank on the corner of the square (near tram stop).
