About this experience

The capital of the Kingdom of Mysore was Mysore (or Mysuru), a city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. It served as such from 1399 until 1947. The luxurious Mysore Palace, the home of the once-ruling Wodeyar dynasty, sits in the middle of it. The palace is a fusion of Rajput, Gothic, Islamic, and Hindu elements. The centuries-old Devaraja Market, which sells spices, silk, and sandalwood, is also located in Mysore.

We start pick up from your hotel in Bangalore and drive to Mysore . Your guide meets you at Sirangapatna Tip Palace where you will visit the monument followed by Mysore Palace, Art Gallery, Chamundi HIll Temple , Fruits and Vegetable Market. with stop over for lunch.

Post 4 pm drive back to Bangalore reaching your hotel by 7 pm.

Meet your guide at hotel lobby in Bangalore at 7.00 am Drive to Mysore is about 3 and a half hours drive away from Bangalore and there is much to see for the travellers.Visit on the way stop at Channapatina is popular for the brightly colored and lacquer coated wooden toys .

Stop 2

Then to Srirangapatana Sri Ranganathaswamy temple Dariya Daulat Palace & Tipu's Death Place. From here drive to Mysore to reach Chamundi Hill located on the Hill visiting large Dravidian Temple, dedicates to Sri Chamundeshwari Devi . Also visit Bull (Vehicle of Shiva ) in the same complex.

Stop 3

Lunch at 1:00 PM. For lunch you can choose the cuisine and restaurant your are interested at your own cost.

After Lunch proceed to magnificent building of Mysore palace is the residence of Maharajas of Mysore. The guide will take you to Golden Royal Elephant Throne, the Durbar Hall, the Kalyana Mantap and the Gallery inside the palace. Every Sunday & Public Holiday between 7 pm to 8 pm Mysore Palace is illuminated. And other days daily light and sound show conducted.. If you wish to see can be arranged. . However you will reach Bangalore by 11 pm if that suits you.

Then proceed to famous Deveraja Spice market which has around more than 800 traders. visiting local shops with guide of spices, fruits and flowers. At the end of your journey at 5.00 pm , sit back and relax on the drive back to your Hotel in Bangalore reaching by 8.30 pm

You get chance to see the Silk Weaving factory and various process of making Silk Fabric. . The unit was started with 10 looms and gradually increased to 138 looms over a period. The looms and preparatory machines were imported from Switzerland and was the first of its kind in India. After India gained Independence the Mysore state Sericulture Dept. took control of the silk weaving factory.
The factory is closed on Sunday & Public Holidays. Subject to Entry.
2 Km from here is the Famous Mysore Sandalwood factory outlet and small scale manufacturing unit. you can visit Factory outlet only and purchase souvenir for you. Subject to open on Sunday and Bank holidays.

Before departing we go to Chamundi hill temple. About 13 kilometers separate Sri Chamundeshwari Temple from Mysuru, a well-known city in the Indian state of Karnataka. The Sri Chamundeshwari Temples are well-known both domestically and internationally. The well-known Sri Chamundeswari Temple is perched atop the hill. The furious embodiment of Shaktiprabhi is called Durga or Chamundi. She is the one who slays the buffalo-headed monster Mahishasura in addition to the demons Chanda and Munda.
