Kashiya Yokochō is a small shopping alley near by a Warehouse District. You can find stores selling traditional Japanese sweets and rice cakes. They sell various Japanese traditional sweets, such as candies, rice crackers, karinto (sugar coated, deep fried cookies), ice cream, and cakes and sweet potatoes. Also, some small toys and accessories, which would be good as authentic souvenirs for your family or friends, can be found.

Explore Kawagoe's Warehouse District for a nostalgic glimpse into the Edo Period (1603-1867). The area is adorned with Kurazukuri, clay-walled warehouse-style buildings that boast authentic Edo architecture. Wander along the charming Kurazukuri Street, where you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants housed in these historical warehouse-styled buildings. The unique atmosphere and cultural richness make it a worthwhile visit for tourists.

As a symbol of Kawagoe, the clock tower chimes four times daily at 6:00, 12:00, 15:00, and 18:00. Following the devastation caused by the Great Kawagoe Fire of 1893, the tower was reconstructed in 1894 to replace the former structure. Today, it stands as a significant landmark in the city's history.
