About this experience

I provide a full-day private driving tour to see the beautiful Seven Lakes in the Fann Mountains of Tajikistan. The first six lakes are accessible by car, and tourists will be able to see local villages along the way. The seventh lake is accessible by a short hike and is a great place to have a picnic at midday. After visiting the Seven Lakes, we will return to Panjakent to visit the local bazaar, the city center, and the ruins of the ancient settlement Sarazm. This tour provides a fun and interesting day seeing some of the best sites Tajikistan has to offer, from the incredible mountain views of the Seven Lakes to the daily life in a small Tajik city to the ancient Silk Road history of this incredible part of the world.

Tourists will first see the Seven Lakes. The first six lakes can be reached by car, while the seventh lake can be reached by walking about 30 minutes.

After seeing the Seven Lakes, we will visit the bustling Bazaar of Panjakent city where tourists can buy local goods and food.

We will next visit the small museum of Panjakent where tourists can learn about the history of the area. Admission is not included in the price. The cost is about $3.

Tourists will have the chance to see the incredible ancient settlement of Sarazm. There is also a museum where they can learn more about the history there. Admission is about $3.
