Samode Palace is one of the charming and romantic edifices in Rajasthan. It was originally built in the 16th century as a Rajput fort and then renovated into a palace in the 19th century. It has now been converted into a heritage hotel. On a hill immediately above the palace you can see the Samode Fort. It was the family's former residence and accessible in times of trouble by an underground passageway from the Palace.
