About this experience

Ride a Royal Enfield motorcycle from Jaipur to Sambhar Lake, the largest salt water lake in India. Sambhar Lake is situated 60 miles southwest of Jaipur. The ride to the lake will take you on peaceful country roads that go past small villages where time seems to have stood still. You will also get to see the desert landscape with its sparse shrub vegetation. Stop at the village of Sawarda and take a look at Rajasthani culture.

Detailed itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and driven to the Garage where you will be met by your Road Captain / Tour  Leader.

Get comfortable with your motorcycle before you start on the ride to Sambhar Lake. The ride to the lake will take you through desert country and small villages. The peaceful roads will let you relax and enjoy the ride. The stillness of the surroundings will occasionally get interrupted by the sound of a curlew. You might even get to see a shepherd with a colorful turban minding a flock of sheep as they move from one pasture to the next.

Walk around the banks of the lake once you reach there and watch the locals engaged in salt making. The lake supplies 9% of the salt produced in India.

Next ride to the village of Sawarda and take a look at village life. Visit the Gurdwara (Sikh temple) there. This is Sikh country in the middle of Rajasthan.

Take lunch at Fort Sawarda Hotel and relax there before you start for the return trip to Jaipur. After dropping off your bike in Jaipur, you will be driven back to your hotel.
