Detailed itinerary

1

Our journey begins in Messina, the ancient "gateway to Sicily". Driving along the scenic road that runs along the natural sickle-shaped harbor, we will head to two wonders of our territory: Savoca with its historical and authentic soul, and Taormina, more lively and modern with a style that combines its historical side with the most elegant.

2

Savoca is a small village in which, in 1972, numerous scenes of the film "The Godfather" by Fred Francis Coppola were filmed. Once arrived we will stop at Bar Vitelli, famous for being the bar where Michael Corleone proposed to the young Apollonia. For those who wish it will be possible to taste a typical Sicilian granita and then continue visiting the village, until you get to the church of "Santa Lucia" which we also find in some excerpts of the film such as that of the marriage between Michael Corleone and Apollonia.

3

The tour continues towards Taormina. Crossing the historic arch of Porta Catania, we will immerse ourselves in the rich past of the city. We will explore the magnificent Greek Theatre (ticket not included) overlooking Mount Etna and the sea.
We will continue to the enchanting Villa Comunale Florence Trevelyan, a green oasis of exotic charm that belonged to an English noblewoman, linked to the court of Queen Victoria, who fled England because of a scandal that involved her.
Afterwards, walking along Corso Umberto, the main street and ancient decumanus, you will be surrounded by elegant boutiques, lively cafes, picturesque alleys and historic buildings that guard the true essence of the city.
Finally, we will reach by car an exclusive panoramic point, unique to admire and photograph from above the famous Isola Bella, leaving you an unforgettable memory of our beautiful land

4

After our tour we will return to Messina, but before taking you to the starting point we will take you for a ride in the historic center of the city, where you will be able to admire some of the most important attractions such as the panorama of Christ the King, the Cathedral of Messina and the famous mechanical astronomical clock of our city.
