Stop 1 Pass by

You will begin your tour using your Voicemap App here at the river viewpoint looking out at the Cais dos Colunas. Be sure to have rented your bicycle/scooter already and have your headphones ready! Once you start the tour, listen carefully for instructions and then follow the directions to the next point of interest!

Stop 2 Pass by

Next, you will head to Largo Jose Saramago on the edge of the old city of Alfama where you will spend some time learning about Lisbon's early history by the ancient Roman stairs, which are over 2000 years old!

Head to Casa dos Bicos, the house of points which was once covered in jewels and now contains the Lisbon Museum and the Jose Saramago foundation.

Next, to the grand commercial center of Lisbon to hear the story of the single most important event in Lisbon's history: the earthquake of 1755.

Now, we're following the riverside bike path through this historic dock district, past the train station and along the water to the bridge!

Our final stop of the tour, the UNESCO world heritage site and former home of the Order of the Hieronymites. You can hear the story of the final landing place where sailors and adventurers would be blessed before heading across unknown seas. Stop to enjoy the beautiful architecture from the outside or purchase a ticket to go in to the cloisters once the tour is over.
