The cave is both a geological marvel and an important archaeological site.)

2nd Stop: Viewpoint: Pause for a 5-minute photo stop at a scenic viewpoint from the top where there you can clearly see Dia Island (Dia Island is a part of the Natura 2000 network, located off the coast of Crete, is steeped in history and mythology, believed to be the ancient sanctuary of Zeus.
