About this experience

Hakone is surrounded by deep mountains, you can enjoy natural forest-bathing from escaping hustle and bustle city (Tokyo).
*You are recommended to stay at Hakone area one day before our tour date with enjoying hot spring in the calm greenery forest.
*Standard 8 hours private tour (one group-max six persons): We meet at Hakone Yumoto station at 8:00am, go around by riding five kinds of public transportation (mountain train, cable car, ropeway, cruise ship, mountain bus).
*Visit Owakudani Valley with trying famous sulfur-boiled black egg, which is said to be able to extend seven years longevity per one egg , sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi 40 min, Hakone Shrine surrounded by 100year cedar trees taking photos under red torii gate , 400year tea house where we may talk with 13th generation owner with sitting at fired hearth(reservation done by Munetaka), 200year marquetry craft house with listening to 7th generation artisan's production explanation (reservation done by Munetaka)

Stop 1

*8:00am, meet Hakone Yumoto or Odawara station (you are recommended to stay near Hakone one day before tour date OR you ride Shinkansen from Tokyo to Odawara station on tour date (it takes only 30minutes).
*After our meeting safely, let's ride mountain train-Ropeway bound for top of Hakone mountain(1044m high), there are sulfur gases from the ground due to an active volcano then arrive at arrive at "Owakudani Valley" to view Mt Fuji (it will be visible if the weather is fine), let's try a famous sulfur boiled black egg which is said to get seven-years-longevity more per one egg (JY500/4pcs, payment to be by cash only)
*To go to Togendai north port at Lake Ashi, which is a dammed lake after Hakone mountains eruption 3000 years ago.

*Get on a sightseeing "Pirates Ship" on Lake Ashi 40 minutes (in case many passengers, I recommend buying “reserved seat"JY700 per person if available), let's enjoy viewing Mt. Fuji, greenery forest surrounding Lake Ashi and an eye-catching red torii gate of Hakone Shinto Shrine.
*Have lunch (western dish or brown noodle-soba- for guest and guide around JY2000 per person)

*After arrival at south port then visit Hakone Shrine by swan-pedal-boat on Lake Ashi (25min, JY1500/4 persons, cash only) to take a memorable photos of an eye-catching red Torii Gate background from boat (no landing)-we may be able to walk to the Shrine, however, it takes around 40minutes(round) on foot and find long queues under the torii date, so I always recommend pedal boat instead, you can decide it on site-

*Get on the bus to visit "400-year-old folk tea house with a thatched roof" sitting around a fired hearth (reservation to be done by Munetaka, staying 35min) to enjoy “Amazake” (non-alcohol fermented sweet rice drink with no-sugar, which is good for health (for guest and guide, JY500 per person, cash only).

*Get on bus to visit a traditional Yosegi-zaiku(marquetry), 200-year-old wooden handcraft house, seeing its production process by 7th generation master (reservation will be done by Munetaka). After that, you can enjoy shopping secret box, Kendama-play game-tool etc.

Meeting point

I may recommend you ride Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo station; departure is around 7:00am of tour date, then get off at Odawara station after 35minutes later. Munetaka wait for you at Shinkansen Odawara station ticket gate around 7:40am.

Please note guests are required to buy "Hakone discount Pass (two or three days, we can ride five kinds of public transportation-mountain train, cable-car, ropeway, sightseeing ship, mountain bus by this ticket, see https://www.hakonenavi.jp/international/en/discount_passes/free_passs)" at tour starting time, if you don't have it, your guide can support to you to buy it at our meeting point.
*Your guide plans to go to Hakone-Yumoto station by Odakyu Railway directly from home nearest station with this Free Pass, so please pay cash (JY6820) to your guide on official receipt at the end of the tour (JY39000 covers “guiding fee only”)
