Onishi Dolls Honten (established in 1882) is the oldest doll specialty store in the Tokai region. This prestigious store, which also supplies ritual implements to the Tokugawa Art Museum and Atsuta Shrine, both associated with the Owari Tokugawa clan, will be hosting a special workshop.
The experience will involve crafting a Kariroku, a talisman believed to have been used by shoguns before heading out to battle. Under the direct guidance of the store owner, who also handles items supplied to the Imperial Household, participants will have the opportunity to experience the profound depths of Japan's traditional culture and history. This is more than just a souvenir; it's a cultural experience worthy of being the highlight of your trip, where you can experience over 140 years of history, the dedication of artisans, and the romance of the samurai.
