On arrival in My Tho you will first visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Built in 1849 in My Phong village this beautiful structure features a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor (Cambodian) architectural styles and consists of five buildings, two ornamental yards and 178 pillars. Feel free to stroll in the gardens and check out the intricate carvings…
Following this you will board a boat for a cruise on the Mekong river, whilst sailing you will be passing natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen's port and the traditional stilt houses. Keep your camera handy!
On arrival you will stop at Thoi Son islet in province of Tien Giang which has now become an ecotourism site. However, few people know that today’s Thoi Son is thanks to the endless efforts of local people to develop the isolated isle into one of the region’s go-to destinations. You will explore this region and its delights before returning to the cruise boat by small rowing boats through a short stretch of waterways.
