Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Departure from Papeete Marina, where your captain and naturalist guide will welcome you for an unforgettable adventure at sea. Together, you will head towards the Papeete pass while listening to your guide’s fascinating stories about the history of the Teporionu district, which once encompassed Papeete, Pirae, and Arue. During the cruise, be ready for a magical moment as you may observe marine wildlife playing around the waves. This is the perfect opportunity for your guide to share insights about the different cetacean species found in Polynesia and their essential role in the marine ecosystem.

2

Next, you will stop at the famous stingray spot, where you may meet Charlotte and her companions. In these crystal-clear waters, you may also spot graceful eagle rays and boxfish drifting with the current of the natural hoa channel that runs through the area. This magical stop gives you the chance to snorkel and observe these fascinating creatures in a serene, unspoiled underwater setting.

3

Head to the Papa Whiskey “aquarium,” a true hidden gem that showcases one of the most stunning shades of blue in all of Tahiti. The water here is exceptionally clear, inviting you to an unforgettable underwater exploration.
Beneath the surface, you can admire the remains of a plane that crashed in the 1980s, as well as historic whaleboats from around 1890–1900 that were once used for whale hunting. The experience gets even more surprising as you discover a whimsical scene on the seabed: a desk with a submerged laptop, offering a unique setting for fun and memorable photos.
An unforgettable experience that blends history, mystery, and natural beauty in a single snorkeling stop.

4

Before leaving the lagoon, you will pause in front of the Taapuna wave, an iconic surf spot for anyone who has surfed in Tahiti. From here, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the ocean and the island of Tahiti.
It is also the perfect moment for your guide to explain how the passes are formed and to raise awareness about the environmental challenges related to preserving coral reefs and the surrounding marine ecosystem.

5
Stop 5

After a short cruise along the reef, you will arrive at the Sapinus surf spot, located opposite the museum, a unique place where a freshwater spring emerges just 3 meters below the surface. This site is a true sanctuary for green sea turtles, which live here year-round.
Very sociable, they move calmly around you as long as you keep a respectful distance.

6

To end this adventure on a high note, you will have the chance to enjoy a delicious Tahitian poisson cru, a traditional Polynesian dish loved by travelers from around the world. You will savor this refreshing meal on a wide, shallow sandbank surrounded by the turquoise waters of the lagoon.
To accompany this special moment, you can cool off with local fruit juices while relaxing in this stunning natural setting.
