Your guide will recount the tragic history of Hiroshima and the Atomic Bomb Dome, and point out a few of the monuments in the Peace Park. Then, continue on to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum for further insights.(Depending on each guest's schedule, the order of visiting Miyajima and Peace Park may vary)
Visit the Itsukushima Shrine, another of Hiroshima's World Heritage Sites. Your guide will share interesting facts about Miyajima, covering topics such as the history of Hiroshima and Japan, samurai, and religion. (We will drive to the ferry terminal on the mainland side and park the car there. Since there is no parking available on the island, we will explore Miyajima on foot after taking the ferry.)
