Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

The route leads through the lively Linz alley to the Salzach, across the state bridge along the river to Mozartplatz. In the old town we visit all prominent squares such as the Old Market, the University Square, Hofstallgasse as well as the Cathedral Square and Chapter Square.
Afterwards, we head out into the countryside through Kaigasse and over Kajetanerplatz. Over the historic Krauth Hill, you will walk along the Almkanal to the picturesque Leopoldskroner Weiher, known from Sound of Music. Here is a quick photo stop a must before we leave for Nonnberg Abbey (SoM).
From here we continue along the Mönchsberg, past the Hohensalzburg Fortress and glide to the most beautiful viewpoints on the mountain: Richterhöhe and the Museum of Modernism, where the 1000 rooftops of the city lie at our feet. After the mountain we cross medieval alleys, drive along the Salzach to our last stop and photo finish, Mirabell & Garten Castle, before returning to the starting point.
