El Nihuil is a town and district in the San Rafael department of Mendoza Province, Argentina. It is located at the eastern end of the El Nihuil Reservoir, developing as a tourist village on said artificial lake, also taking advantage of the attraction of the Canyon of Atuel
Descending from the village of El Nihuil to Valle Grande we will find a winding consolidated path, El Canyon del Atuel, that travels geological landscapes that leave those who enter marveled through the numerous and varied figures that the wind, water and time knew how to carve: Wax Museum, Armchair of Rivadavia, El Lagarto, Los Viejos, Los Monsteros, the Enchanted City, El Mendigo, Los Jardines Susgantes, Los Monjes; among others, as well as the chain of reservoirs and hydroelectric power plants that feed the Atuel River itself.
When we arrive in Valle Grande, we conclude our excursion through Atuel Canyon enjoying lunch and knowing one of the best tourist attractions of San Rafael as is the Valle Grande levee and we can also navigate the Atuel River with the optional activities proposed by the ride.
