About this experience

Welcome to my “In Zurich at home” Tour!
I will love to guide you through the most emblematic places of this wonderful city. Not only will we visit essential sites, but I will also share anecdotes and curiosities to give you a different view of the Hellenic country. All this while enjoying a 2 hour walk, where you can ask me what you want.
We will start at Paradeplatz, next to the Sprüngli confectionery, and we will walk through the historic center: the Fraumünster and its abbesses, the Grossmünster and the Reformation, the Cabaret Voltaire and Dadaism, the Church of St. Peter and its great clock, until we reach Lindenhof, Roman origin of Zurich.
We will discover charming corners, enjoy breathtaking views and meet fascinating legends that bring monuments to life. I will also talk about the curiosities of political life in Switzerland and share recommendations for your stay here.
Ready to start? Let's enjoy Zurich together!

Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Paradeplatz will be our meeting point, in the financial heart of Zurich, surrounded by history and elegance.

2
Stop 2

Legendary monastery where, for nearly 700 years, its abbesses defied the rule of the time and ruled in Zurich with more authority than men.

3
Stop 3

The imposing Grossmünster, birthplace of the Reformation in Switzerland with Ulrich Zwingli in charge. Its two twin towers are an unmistakable symbol of Zurich. If you fancy it, we can go in and admire the stained glass windows of Giacometti and Sigmar Polke.

4

Place where Dadaism saw the light. This small cafe witnessed the birth of an art movement that defied the rules and marked a before and after in art history.

5

Bridge with history, where the seat of the Parliament of the Canton of Zurich is located. A perfect place to enter the Swiss political system and its particularities.

6

Underneath the streets of Zurich lie traces of its Roman past. In this corner you will discover the remains of ancient thermal baths, witnesses of the history of the city since its origins.

7
Stop 7

Home to Europe’s largest tower clock, which dominates the skyline of Zurich’s Old Town.

8

One of the most beautiful streets in Zurich, where time seems to stand still between colorful medieval facades and cobbled alleys.

9
Stop 9

The place where Zurich began, known as the ancient Roman settlement of Turicum.
