7:00–9:00, meet at Huangshan International Hotel (Address: No. 31 Huangshan Road, Tunxi District, Huangshan City). According to the agreed time, your guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby, holding a sign with your name on it.
From 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning, your guide will accompany you to the Yellow Mountain Scenic Area Transfer Center by your private vehicle, which takes about 1 hour. Along the way, your guide will discuss the best hiking route based on your physical condition. After that, you will take a scenic shuttle bus to the Yungu Cable Car Station (around 30 minutes).
9:30–10:00 am, take the Yungu Cable Car from Yungu Temple up to White Goose Ridge. The cable car ticket is at your own expense. Taking the cable car helps you save both energy and time. Yungu Cable Car is one of the most beautiful cableways in Huangshan, offering stunning views of Tiandu Peak, Lotus Peak, Fozhang Peak, Magpie on Plum Blossom, Immortal Turning Over, Gourd Rock, Goat Crossing the River, and more. Riding through the sea of clouds feels like wandering in a celestial wonderland, with breathtaking scenery unfolding beneath you.
After getting off the cable car, start your walking tour to explore White Goose Ridge on Huangshan. You will see the iconic twisted pine trees, unique rock formations, and—if weather permits—the magnificent sea of clouds.
Shixin Peak is located in the Beihai Scenic Area. It is a great spot to admire Huangshan’s granite peaks. Here, you can also see the majestic Black Tiger Pine, one of Huangshan’s Ten Famous Pines. This tree is estimated to be around 700 years old. According to legend, long ago, a monk meditating on Huangshan saw a black tiger appear atop a large pine tree. Upon closer inspection, the tiger was nowhere to be found, so he named the tree “Black Tiger Pine.”
Mengbi Shenghua is a very famous scenic spot in Huangshan. It is essentially a uniquely shaped rock with a pine tree growing on its top. The rock resembles the tip of a Chinese calligraphy brush.
Explore Lion Peak, famous for its sunrise views. You will also see another iconic sight: the Stone Monkey gazing at the sea of clouds.
At 2:30 pm, start walking down the mountain to the cable car station and take the cable car.
16:00–17:00, take your private vehicle back to Huangshan City. Alternatively, you can be dropped off at the airport or Huangshan North High-Speed Railway Station upon request. This concludes your day of mountain adventure!
