8:00: Your adventure begins at our meeting point at 80 Nui Ngoc Street, where our friendly guide greets you with a smile. After receiving your bicycle and a quick safety briefing, you are ready to pedal into the heart of Cat Ba’s natural beauty.
Getting rid off the town center, your biking takes you along peaceful winding roads through Cat Ba National Park, surrounded by lush jungle and fresh island air.
9:00 AM: Arrive at the fascinating Military Hospital Cave, a three-storey bombproof hideout built during the Vietnam War. Step inside its cool limestone chambers and uncover the ingenuity, resilience, and history that shaped this remarkable site.
9.30: Back on your bike, ride towards the Cat Ba National Park gate. Keep an eye out for rare birds and wildlife. Here, take a short break while your guide shares information about this UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve.
10.00: Hop back on your bike and ride towards Hien Hao Commune, passing tranquil rice paddies and charming villages where everyday life moves at a gentle, timeless pace.
10:30 AM: Take a visiting a local family’s home for traditional Vietnamese tea. Learn about their daily life, customs, and the art of bee-keeping, while tasting fresh honey right from the source. This is your chance to truly connect with the spirit of rural Cat Ba.
11:00 AM: Cycle along a stunning coastal road with emerald waters on one side and towering limestone cliffs on the other. Breathe in the salty sea breeze and capture postcard-perfect photos. (Prefer not to cycle back? You can leave your bike in Hien Hao and return by bus for just US$3 extra, including bike transfer.)
