You arrive on the beautiful Holy Cross Square. Turn around: here you have a magnificent house, certainly the most famous in Angers! It must be said that it is one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in the city, and comes straight from the 15th century.

This beautiful monument in the heart of the shopping street of Angers is the Musée Pincé. Built between 1528 and 1535, it displays a Renaissance style due to the Angevin architect Jean Delespine.

Place du Pilori is a small central square in Angers. Pedestrian and picturesque, it is very popular, located in the heart of shops and restaurants.

The green space on your right is called the Heart of Maine Esplanade.

You are currently crossing the oldest bridge that used to cross Maine. It was mentioned in the 6th century, but it is believed that it was already there since Gallo-Roman times, although there is no evidence to support it.

Located away from the bustle of the city center, the Doutre district has the air of a small village.

The crossing of this bridge offers you a beautiful view of the castle of Angers, which stands proudly on the left bank of the city.

It is since the Neolithic, about 4,000 years ago, that this rocky spur is inhabited by man!

You are in front of the emblematic view of Angers, on the Promenade du bout du monde that runs along the castle.

You are now walking in the medieval centre of Angers, characterised by its winding streets close to the castle.

In front of you stand the imposing towers of the Cathedral of Angers, the Cathedral of Saint-Maurice. A remarkable example of Angevin Gothic art, it was built between the 11th and 13th centuries and is of course classified as a Historic Monument.
