Stop 1

Arriving at the Tatio geothermal field, located at more than 4,200 m.a.s.l., travelers will be greeted by an overwhelming landscape of plumes of steam emerging from the earth at dawn. Our bilingual guide will walk you through the different zones of active geysers, explaining the geothermal phenomena that occur in this unique zone of the planet.

There will also be time to enjoy a hot breakfast outdoors, surrounded by the impressive Andes mountain range.

2

During the return journey from the Geysers of the Tatio, we will make a short stop at the Vado del Río Putana, a scenic site where travelers can observe flamingos, Andean ducks and other highland birds in their natural habitat, with the imposing Putana volcano as a backdrop. It is a perfect time to take pictures and appreciate the biodiversity of the Chilean highlands.

3

On the final leg of the tour, we will make a stop in Machuca, a small and picturesque highland town at 4,000 meters above sea level. Travelers can walk along its dirt streets, admire traditional adobe and straw constructions, and visit its charming colonial church. This is also a good place to sample typical products such as llama patties or Andean meat skewers (optional, not included).

Our guide will explain the history of this Atacameño community and its adaptation to the harsh conditions of the highlands.
