San Felipe Fortress is the historic guardian of Puerto Plata, a colonial gem facing the Atlantic that has withstood centuries of history. Built in the 16th century, this imposing stone structure offers a journey into the past, between canyons, walls and passageways that protected the city from pirates and conquerors. From its height, the sea view is simply spectacular. Visiting it is feeling the weight of history and pride of a city that never gave up.

9

In front of the imposing Atlantic and at the end of the majestic seawall, stands the iconic silver sign that says Puerto Plata : more than a photo, it is a symbol of pride and welcome. Capture the moment, record the memory and take with you the brilliant essence of the Bride of the Atlantic.
