Don’t get lost wandering around looking for the highlights. My walking tour covers many highlights in the park. My passion and knowledge of the history and background of the park will make for a memorable experience. I keep my groups small (usually 8 max) allowing for flexibility, efficiency and personal attention. I keep my fees reasonable as NYC is expensive enough and if you are on a budget you should still be able to experience the best of the city. All ages are welcome. Walking and stairs are part of the tour. I can also accommodate private groups and customize as needed. Please reach out with questions
We will walk about 1.5 miles during the 2 hours through the park. See and photograph highlights including Gapstow Bridge at the Pond. You’ll know this spot from the movies. Then past Wolman Rink to the Mall with the majestic elm trees. See the statues along literary walk to the beautiful Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. Crossing over Bow Bridge and the Lake you’ll be sure to pose at one of the favorite photo spots. Onto the Ramble to meander the shady paths enjoying nature and keeping an eye out for wildlife. Next up, Belvedere Castle to take in the views and nearby is the Shakespeare Garden a beautiful spot filled with plants noted in his writings. Being a small group (usually 8 max) we can adjust as needed. Another spot we can add is Strawberry Fields.
We will meet in front of the Sherman Monument - the giant gold statue of General Sherman on a horse. I will be there to greet you with my tour name on my Ipad screen.
