Detailed itinerary

We visit an altar with statues in ruins, including a recreated village with all the details of its structures.

We visit another grand altar in ruins and we learn about the organization of the communities in traditional times.
We discover the various theories of the transportation of the statues and how they were placed onto the altar.

Stop 3

We visit the quarry where the statues where made, with aproximately 400 moai in different stages of the carving process. We spend an hour visiting aand listening to the explanations of your acredited guide.

Stop 4

We listen to the stories of today and the past in this restored platform with 15 moai statues.

This visit shows the largest statu ever raised on an altar as well as the enegmatic stone called Te pito o te henua.

We visit the most beautifully carved moai on the island, corresponding to the royal clan. We listen to the stories and leyends of the first arrival polinesians and their settlement.

Stop 7

We finish the day at Anakena beach with its beautiful white sandy beach. Time for a break and a swim of you are up to it!
