Early Morning Pick-Up at 5:00 AM from your hotel in Kigali or Musanze, followed by a scenic drive to Kinigi Park Headquarters.

On arrival at the park, you will attend a briefing conducted by park rangers and briefed on trail conditions, safety procedures, wildlife awareness, hiking etiquette.

You will begin the hike through thick rain forest and bamboo zones, gradually transitioning into steeper and more rugged volcanic slopes. Expect Muddy and slippery sections Dense vegetation and occasional stinging nettles, Cooler temperatures as you ascend. The final stretch is the most demanding but also the most rewarding. Upon reaching the summit of the volcano, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of a spectacular emerald-green crater lake, often shrouded in mist, creating a dramatic and unforgettable scene.

After spending time at the summit, you begin the descent back to the trailhead.

After the hike, you transfer back to your hotel in Musanze or return to Kigali.
