Experience authentic Egyptian street food with a local guide, visiting hidden neighborhood spots that tourists rarely find. Taste Egypt’s national drinks and dishes while learning about local culture, food traditions, and everyday life in a small-group walking tour.
-Refresh with a glass of fresh sugarcane juice, a classic Egyptian street drink.
– Egyptian Breakfast: We will take a 3–5 minute walk to the second stop, a street vendor serving freshly made ta’ameya (Egyptian falafel), fava beans with baladi bread, and some other traditional sides.
– What’s Koshary?: Right after that, we will move to the third stop, also a 3–5 minute walk. We’ll visit a local traditional restaurant to try koshary, Egypt’s national dish made of rice, pasta, lentils, fried onions, chickpeas, and tomato sauce.
– Sweet Finale: Egyptian Desserts: After less than a one-minute walk, we’ll end with beloved Egyptian sweets. I hope you’re not too full for dessert, because we’re going to enjoy kunafa and basbousa.
