About this experience

Get ready for an authentic off-road adventure in Bávaro, Punta Cana. The experience begins at a traditional ranch in Macao, a real Dominican community away from resort areas. After check-in and a brief safety orientation, enjoy tastings of local chocolate, coffee, tea, and mamajuana before choosing your vehicle.

ATV the premium option offering more power and comfort. Bandanas and sunglasses are recommended, as trails may be dusty or muddy depending on the weather.

Ride through countryside off-road trails to a natural cenote in El Salado, where you can cool off with a short swim and take photos. Independent local vendors may be present; participation is optional. Continue to Macao Beach to relax, rinse off, and take pictures—swim with caution due to strong waves. Return to the ranch with optional photo viewing and souvenir shopping.

Detailed itinerary

After hotel pick-up, arrive at a traditional Dominican ranch in Macao where the adventure begins. You’ll receive safety instructions, complete check-in and liability forms, and be assigned your reserved vehicle

Begin the off-road ride through rural trails and countryside paths until reaching a traditional plantation. Here, you’ll learn how Dominican coffee, cacao/chocolate, tea, and mamajuana are made, followed by tastings some products. Purchasing these items is completely optional

Stop 3

Ride through open countryside trails before arriving at Macao Beach, one of the most iconic and natural beaches in the region. Enjoy time to relax, rinse off, take photos, and experience the natural waves of this unspoiled shoreline. Local vendors and animals may be present and are not affiliated with the tour.

Continue riding to Macao Cave, a natural cave filled with clear freshwater. Take a refreshing dip, jump into the water, or simply enjoy the scenery and photos before continuing the adventure. During high season, this area may be shared with other tours, and independent local vendors may be present. They are not part of our operation.

After the cave stop, ride back to the ranch where you can view tour photos and browse souvenirs before returning to your hotel.
