Experience traditional Japanese washi paper making and create your own original artwork.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Washi no An at Washi Kobo Washi no Iori is a traditional washi workshop where you can experience the time-honored techniques of Echizen washi, a craft with over 1,000 years of history.

Under the guidance of skilled artisans, you will learn about natural materials and traditional techniques while making your own unique sheet of handmade washi paper.
Through this hands-on experience, you can gain a deeper appreciation of Japanese culture and craftsmanship.
