The grand finale is at Nichupté Lagoon, where a close friend of mine, an expert captain, awaits for a private 40-minute boat ride. Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Just a few minutes away from the lagoon, we’ll stop at the El Rey Archaeological Zone. As an engineer, I love showing this site because, despite its size, it preserves 47 structures that reveal the ancient maritime life of the Mayans.

It’s a very accessible site to walk through, filled with ancient platforms and a pyramid temple. But what surprises my guests the most is that these ruins have become home to hundreds of iguanas that aren't shy around cameras. It’s the perfect spot for unique photos where ancient history meets local wildlife. A quick, educational, and highly visual stop!

2
Stop 2

Following our visit to the ruins, we will stop at the world-famous Dolphin Beach (Playa Delfines). This is home to the colorful "CANCUN" sign and one of the most breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea from its natural lookout. We’ll take this opportunity to capture the perfect vacation photo and for you to use the public facilities comfortably. It’s a spot with incredible energy where the blue of the ocean seems endless.

3
Stop 3

To top it all off, we will visit the Cancun Maya Museum. This cutting-edge space is not only a masterpiece of modern architecture but also guards invaluable treasures found across the peninsula. We will walk through its air-conditioned galleries—a welcome relief from the Caribbean sun—to understand the world-view and art of this civilization. Additionally, the museum provides access to the San Miguelito Archaeological Site, a jungle path with ruins that will make you feel like a true explorer. It’s the touch of elegance and history your trip deserves!

4

Our stop at the viewpoint is where the magic begins. While we wait for my friend, the captain, you can admire the vastness of Nichupté Lagoon, spot iguanas sunbathing, and look for crocodiles near the shore. It’s the perfect spot to take in the views of the new Nichupté Bridge and the Cancun skyline in total peace. Located at km 10

5

Hop on board with a local captain for an exclusive tour of the Nichupté Lagoon. We will navigate through mysterious mangrove channels where wildlife takes center stage. You’ll spot iguanas, exotic birds, and crocodiles in their natural habitat, including the famous guardian of the abandoned boat. Plus, you’ll get the best view of the new Nichupté Bridge and the Cancun skyline from the water. A short but intense adventure packed with incredible photo opportunities!
