Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Mt. Fuji 5th Station is located at an elevation of 2,300 meters above sea level. On clear days, when the weather is good, you can enjoy a close-up view of Mount Fuji. The area has many souvenir shops where visitors can enjoy shopping. This is the main starting point for climbers heading to the summit of Mount Fuji.
The official climbing season runs from mid-July to early September. During the peak hiking season, private vehicles are not allowed to access the 5th Station, and visitors must use a shuttle bus. The shuttle bus fee is ¥2,100 per person.

2

Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five-story pagoda perched on a hillside overlooking Fujiyoshida City, famous for its breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Fuji. Part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine complex, it was built in 1963 as a peace memorial and is accessible via around 400 steps from the shrine’s main grounds.

3
Stop 3

Lake Kawaguchiko:
Enjoy lunch at Lake Kawaguchiko, where a variety of restaurants are available around the lakeshore. Situated at an elevation of approximately 830 meters, the lake experiences pleasantly cool summers and crisp, cold winters. The surrounding area offers beautiful scenery and is a popular destination for visitors.

Guests may also opt for a sightseeing boat cruise on the lake or a ride on the ropeway cable car for panoramic views. These activities are optional and require an additional fee of approximately ¥1,000 per person for each attraction.

4

Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a well-known scenic attraction made up of eight crystal-clear natural ponds in Oshino, a charming village in the Fuji Five Lakes area. It is situated between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako, on the former site of a lake that disappeared several centuries ago.

The ponds are sustained by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, which slowly passes through porous volcanic lava for over 80 years. This natural filtration creates remarkably pure and transparent spring water, deeply valued by the local community. On clear days, visitors can also enjoy stunning, up-close views of Mount Fuji from this picturesque spot.

5

Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba:
A charming traditional village set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Fuji. The village features carefully restored thatched-roof houses, offering local crafts, encounters with skilled artisans, and the chance to rent kimono or samurai armor for an authentic cultural experience.

6
Stop 6

Oishi Park, on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, features breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and Mount Fuji.

7

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja, also known as the Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine, is the main Sengen shrine on the northern side of Mount Fuji. Thought to have been established in 100 CE, it is dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime, the Shinto goddess of Mount Fuji. With a long and distinguished past, the shrine has played a key role in the development of Shinto beliefs and rituals in Japan.

8
Stop 8

Fuji-Q Highland, located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan, began in 1961 as the Fuji Five Lakes International Skating Center, transitioning into an amusement park in 1964, and formally opening as Fuji-Q Highland in 1969. Owned by Fuji Kyuko Co., it has gained global fame for record-breaking roller coasters and high-thrill attractions, such as the 1996 "Fujiyama" coaster.
