About this experience
Have you ever painted your own Portuguese tiles in a creative experience full of history? In this Majólica workshop, you will discover one of the most emblematic techniques of Portuguese ceramics, in a relaxed environment, surrounded by authentic tiles.
The experience begins with a practical introduction to the technique, materials and painting on raw glass. During 60 minutes you can paint 2 tiles per person (each extra tiles + 10€), choosing between free painting or stencils with historical and cultural references, such as 17th-century patterns, Pombalin tiles used in the reconstruction of Lisbon after the earthquake of 1755, typical 18th-century avulses or iconic options such as the Lisboeta electric car and the Portuguese sardine.
At the end, you will put the tiles in the ceramic oven for drying and baking. Then you can choose to pick up at the store (3 to 4 business days) or send home (additional cost).
