At 06:00 am, pick‑up time from your hotel in Giza or Cairo. Drive to Bahariya Oasis, located about 350 km east of Cairo. The journey takes around 4 hours. In the past, when people from Bahariya wished to travel to the Nile Valley, they often waited until a caravan was passing through. The trip between the Nile and the oasis used to take three days—how lucky we are today!
There will be two coffee breaks during the trip.
On the right‑hand side, you will see the railways that transport iron ore deposits to the steel mill at Helwan. Before lunch, you can immerse yourself in a hot water spring. The natural heat instantly reduces stress, loosens tense muscles, and promotes feelings of calm, wellbeing, and tranquility.
At 13:00, on the way back, you will visit Crystal Mountain. Locally known as Gebel al‑Izzaz, it is more of a crystal hill than a mountain. Seen on the right, this natural wonder is often called the Jewel of the Desert.
Formed by quartzite crystals, Crystal Mountain sparkles beautifully under the sun’s rays. This stunning feature was discovered by accident only a few decades ago, and today it stands as one of the most unique highlights of the Western Desert.
At 14:00, arrive at the Valley of Agabat, deep within the White Desert. You have to be there to truly feel the otherworldly beauty of this place. Millions of years ago, the area was under the sea, and over time unique rock formations of limestone, chalk, and sand developed.
Then, continue your adventure by exploring Wadi El Agabat in a 4x4 Jeep and enjoy sandboarding on the dunes.
At 15:30, explore the White Desert National Park, Egypt’s most famous desert destination. Here, hundreds of natural rock formations resemble animals and objects—chickens, camels, tents, mushrooms, and even a sphinx. The iconic chicken‑shaped rock is one of the highlights.
