This tour showcases the architectural genius of Burj Khalifa, the Walk of Stars, the Dubai Fountain, and the dhow-shaped Opera building. Walk through Burj Plaza, set by Burj Park and featuring direct views of The Dubai Fountain to observe Jorge Marin’s Wings of Mexico, Declaration by El Seed, the Three Finger Salute Statue, and Janus Rostock’s pearl-diving dhow-shaped Dubai Opera Building. We delve into the UAE cultural symbolism in modern construction and tie together Dubai’s fantastic growth story.
We then head by car to the Alserkal Avenue art district where we visit warehouse-styled art and design spaces making Dubai a popular art destination for the Middle East. We weave in and out of Ayyam (Syrian Owned Gallery) and/or Green Art Gallery, the first two galleries to move into Alserkal Avenue in 2007, depending on the artwork on display. We have an Atelier visit of famous Tunisian-French calligraffiti artist El Seed whose art adorns Dubai Opera, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Paris.
