Discover the charm of Marsaxlokk, a picturesque fishing village along Malta’s coastline. The largest fishing harbour in Malta since antiquity, it is home to many of the islands' fishermen. Traditional "luzzus" (brightly coloured fishing boats) and larger vessels line the sheltered harbour in a colourful display that has been the subject of countless photoshoots.
Marsaxlokk is also known for its open-air market, offering a variety of goods like fresh fish, honey, fruit jams, sweets, local wines, souvenirs, crafts, clothing, shoes, and more. It’s the perfect place to spend a Sunday, stroll through the village, and experience the local way of life.
After the market, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the many restaurants along the promenade with beautiful sea views.
