About this experience

Embark on a journey through Corfu’s highlights! This shore excursion takes you from your cruise ship to some of the island’s most beautiful locations, starting with Paleokastritsa Bay. Here, you can relax on a quiet beach with crystal-clear water or take a 45-minute boat ride along the sea caves.

Next, visit the Paleokastritsa Monastery, a historic site overlooking the bay. Inside, you’ll see centuries-old icons, peaceful courtyards, and great views of the Ionian Sea. Please note that reaching the monastery may require a short 15-minute uphill walk due to local conditions.

Your final stop is Corfu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its narrow lanes and Venetian-style buildings. After a guided walk, you’ll have about an hour of free time to shop, explore, or enjoy Greek dishes at a local taverna.

At the end of your excursion, we’ll return you to your ship on time, leaving you with lasting memories of Corfu.

Detailed itinerary

1

After being picked up directly at the port, you'll meet your friendly, English-speaking guide and board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus to start your adventure.

2

Your excursion starts with a scenic drive to Paleokastritsa, one of Corfu’s most iconic coastal spots. Famous for its bright blue waters, steep cliffs, and lush greenery, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for both exploring and unwinding.

When booking, you can choose a 45-minute cruise on a traditional wooden boat. The route takes you along the scenic coastline and, if weather conditions and boat size allow, includes a visit to the sea caves—an impressive highlight and a great opportunity for memorable photos.

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can spend your time on the beach instead. Swim in the clear waters, rest on the shore, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings.

Whichever option you choose, Paleokastritsa sets the tone for a beautiful and unforgettable start to your day in Corfu.

3

Next, you’ll visit the Monastery of Paleokastritsa, a 13th-century Byzantine site perched above the coastline. From its hilltop viewpoint, you can take in impressive sea views while your guide shares the monastery’s history and the stories behind this serene location.

Please note that if vehicles cannot reach the top, getting to the monastery may require a short 15-minute uphill walk.

4

Afterward, you’ll continue to Corfu Town, the island’s historic center and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its narrow cobblestone streets, Venetian-style architecture, and lively squares lead you past landmarks like the Old Fortress and the Liston Promenade.

You’ll enjoy a guided walk and then have about an hour of free time to explore at your own pace. Try local dishes at a traditional taverna, shop for souvenirs such as olive-oil products or kumquat liqueur, or simply enjoy strolling through the charming streets. Blending centuries of history with vibrant local life, Corfu Town offers something for every visitor.

5

To conclude your adventure, we'll make sure you're back at your cruise ship on time, allowing you to reflect on the unforgettable memories you've made in Corfu.
