Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Your day begins directly at the Le Havre cruise port, where our team will welcome you and escort you to a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Settle in and relax as you begin the scenic drive through the Normandy countryside, with a journey time of approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.

Along the way, your guide will share engaging insights about the region, from local traditions to key historical moments that shaped Mont Saint-Michel. You will hear about its origins, its importance as a pilgrimage site, and the stories that make it one of France’s most remarkable landmarks.

A short stop en route allows you to stretch your legs, refresh, and enjoy the surroundings before continuing toward the highlight of the day. The drive itself becomes part of the experience, offering beautiful rural views and a smooth, comfortable start to your visit.

2
Stop 2 Pass by

As Mont Saint-Michel appears on the horizon, rising dramatically from the wide tidal bay, the view is unforgettable. The island’s silhouette, crowned by its abbey, creates one of the most striking landscapes in France and instantly sets the tone for the experience ahead.

From the parking area, you will board the complimentary shuttle (Le Passeur) that brings visitors to the island entrance. The vehicles are wheelchair accessible, making the arrival comfortable and convenient for everyone.

Your visit begins with a guided walking tour through the lower village. Stroll along the cobbled Grand Rue, lined with historic buildings, small shops, and cafés. Take in the impressive medieval ramparts and enjoy sweeping views across the bay. Along the way, your guide will explain the island’s history, its architectural features, and its long-standing role as a pilgrimage destination. This part of the tour is suitable for all fitness levels and does not involve significant climbing.

3
Stop 3

After the guided tour, you will have some free time.
Visit the Abbey
If you wish, you can climb the steps to the top of the rock and explore the famous abbey. Inside, you will find impressive, panoramic views over the tidal flats, and architecture that reflects centuries of history. Please note that the abbey entrance ticket (€16) is not included in the tour price and can be purchased on site.

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, wander through the lower village with its narrow medieval streets and local cafés.
The food here is a highlight in itself. You can enjoy authentic Normandy cuisine, from savory crêpes and fresh seafood to rich, buttery pastries and local specialties that are well worth trying. Sitting down for a meal with views of the bay is part of the experience and often one of the most memorable moments of the visit.

Your guide will remain available during your free time to answer questions and offer recommendations.
