About this experience

Enjoy a full-day exploring a traditional rural village. Experience rice farming, learn traditional weaving, cook with the villagers, play traditional games and meet and chat with the local village families to learn about their everyday life. Have your photo taken in traditional Cambodian costume. Lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea and bottled water are provided.

Village Bicycle Tour

Cycle through a rural village, stopping off to learn about the process of making traditional rice noodles, rice wine and more. Visit the local Buddhist pagoda and receive a blessing from the monks.

What you'll see

We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00am and travel by private air-conditioned transport to our rural village, stopping at a bustling local market on the way. You will spend the day exploring the culture and way of life in the village with your local guide, doing many traditional activities with the local villagers. After our morning activities in the village, we will stop for lunch, where you will learn to cook a traditional Cambodian meal that is commonly eaten in the village. After our fun-filled day in the village together, we will drop you back at your hotel by 4:30pm.

• Please respect the culture in the village and wear modest clothing covering shoulders and to the knees. The village is not used to tourists and western culture/dress.
• Please bring a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent for your comfort.
• Don’t forget your camera, photos are very welcome all throughout the village.
• Be prepared to get your feet dirty as you jump in the mud to plant rice!
