A day tour to discover Chengdu highlights and culture. Morning you will be arranged to visit Chengdu Panda Breeding & Research Center, it is the biggest panda center near Chengdu where you can see both adults and baby pandas. Morning is considered to be the best time to visit Panda center as the pandas are most active.
Afternoon a four hour walking tour to discover some highlights of this bustling and hustling city - starts from Qingyang Palace, a Taoist temple in Chengdu downtown with over 1000 year history, then move through the Culture Park to Qintai Road and Kuaizhai alleys, it offer a lively mix of old and new, with renovated and restored buildings, it is a popular shopping, dining, entertainment, and tourist destination. The final stop will be People's park - a park that offers you a glimpse of some locals go to relax and pursue their leisure activities, have tea in the open air tea house and be like locals, relax and rest your legs.

Morning 07:50 to be met at your hotel lobby and transferred to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center (also called Panda Base), it takes about half an hour. You will catch pandas' feeding time, they are at their most active. Walk through the forested landscape, watch as giant pandas play, nap, and munch bamboo; visit the panda nursery, subadult enclosure, and adult compound; and watch informational videos on panda behavior and the challenges of working with and breeding captive pandas. The whole tour in the Panda Base will take about 2-3 hours, afterwards return to Chengdu downtown to have lunch at one local restaurant.
After lunch, you will be dropped off at Qingyang Palace, the only Taoist temple in Chengdu downtown with over 1,000 years history.
Afterwards move through the Culture park to Qintai road, walk along the ancient style street and enjoy the architecture of building. From Qintai Road you will walk about 10 minutes to arrive at Kuaizhai alleys, the old part of Chengdu city, the three parallel alleys offer a lively mix of old and new, with renovated and restored buildings, it is a popular shopping, dining, entertainment, and tourist destination. Try some local snacks while walking through these alleys.
Finally another 10-15 minutes walk to People's park, a great place to get insight the daily life of locals who come here relax, exercise, play games like Mah-jongg and chess, sing and dance, or find love matches for their loved ones. You will be arranged to have a cup of tea like locals in the open air Heming Tea House, a great place to slow down and rest your legs. We will also include a short calligraphy class with a local master (about one hour) to learn some simple Chinese painting and calligraphy. The tour ends when sending you off at your hotel.
