About this experience

TOUR PROGRAM:

– 8a.m Pick up from your hotel in Hoi An or Da Nang city

– First stop is Thanh Ha Pottery Village where we will visit a family that has been living in the same house for 5 generations and learn how to make pottery with them.
Take a short ride to another artisan family to watch how they make rice paper and noodles. You will learn how to make one yourself and enjoy eating it.
Then. you go to the Kim Bong carpenters village.
Here, you'll be introduced the history of the village and local activities, be able to visit the shipbuilding & repairing workshop, the wood carving and mother of pearl inlaid .You will see how to make the traditional wooden boats that move along the rivers.

We will then stop at another family who specialize in making sleeping mats from reeds. Sleeping mats were a household essential for every Vietnamese family,especially during 20th century.
Enjoy lunch with Local Noodle at local restaurant and then return to your hotel Drop-off: 12:00

Stop 1

visit some local families, where you will see the art of noodle and rice paper making and sleeping mat making. Once your tutors have shown you how it is done, you will then take turns to see how good your skills are in these particular ancient crafts. This activity is fun and is also a great time to meet and talk to local people.
