The Nuwara Eliya tea factory that we visited is called Damro Labookellie Tea Centre (former Mackwoods) and is the oldest tea centre in Sri Lanka. Their tea bushes are replanted every 100 years on over 5,000 hectares of lush tea plantations. In this tea factory, they make white and black tea, while the green tea is processed in another tea factory and then sent to Damro. All the different kinds of teas have different processes of making, and you will be able to learn all about these processes if you do a tea factory tour.The factory tour at Damro is free of charge and ends with delicious tea and cake tasting at the Damro Tea Lounge

Situated in the Ramboda area of Nuwara Eliya district, Ramboda falls is another popular waterfall in Sri Lanka.Ramboda oya, which flows majestically through Ramboda valley creates this beautiful trilogy of waterfalls within the perimeter of a few kilometers, closer to Colombo – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya main road. The first and the most famous one, the Upper Ramboda Oya Fall is situated about 1.5kms away from the main road.
To reach this waterfall, you need to take the footpath starting near the Middle fall, which is just next to the main road. The uphill climb to see this 12m tall beauty is an enjoyable hike and steps are in place in the path until you reach there.

This majestic Tudor-style building has two storeys. It also has a prominent clock spire. The Post Office of Nuwara Eliya was built by the British back in the year 1894. It is, therefore, one of the oldest post offices in Sri Lanka.

This beautiful 30m high Lovers Leap fall in Nuwara Eliya is incipient of the streams and brooks of Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, the Piduruthalagala (2524m).

Lake Gregory sometimes also called Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. The lake and the surrounding area make up the Gregory Lake Area.

The word “Single Tree” has been in existence from time immemorial. An excellent view of the sun rise can be seen from the top of this mountain. Situated 6890 ft above mean sea level and takes about 90 minutes to reach the top. Single Tree Hill is the best vantage point to observe the beauty of Nuwara Eliya and the beauty of Haggala Mountain range. Single Tree Mountain unravels the spectacular views of the entire Nuwara Eliya Town including other mountains such as Piduruthalagala and Haggala Mountains.

Sri Seethai Amman temple is a unique temple it has been made at the place where Seeta Mata spent her days in the prison of Ravana approx 5000 years ago. It is also unique in a way that it is one of the very few temples dedicated to Seeta.
